Word warrior, Yes they have changed the normal.dotx. But you can change it back. On the Home tab of the ribbon, click the dialogue starter button of the styles group. In the styles task pane, click on the arrow next to normal, choose change, click on the format button, choose paragraph, apply whatever formatting you want, click OK, now at the bottom of the change style dialogue there is a possibility to choose a radio button instructing Word to apply this to all new documents, do that click OK.
