I want to stop automatics style changes in new documents
Word Warrior 6/24/2007 7:17:00 AM
When I open a new document in Word 2007, I type a line and then when I hit
enter it automatically starts the new paragraph with a space between it and
the first line. The style changes from "normal" to "No spacing". I don't want
Word to do this. In fact, I don't want word to do any of the automated stuff
that it does. I hate the fact that it automatically does stuff that I don't
want. Can somebody please tell me how I can stop it from doing this?

Word warrior,
Yes they have changed the normal.dotx. But you can change it back. On the
Home tab of the ribbon, click the dialogue starter button of the styles
group. In the styles task pane, click on the arrow next to normal, choose
change, click on the format button, choose paragraph, apply whatever
formatting you want, click OK, now at the bottom of the change style
dialogue there is a possibility to choose a radio button instructing Word to
apply this to all new documents, do that click OK.
