Filter contacts synched to a mobile device??
Samvnw51 5/1/2007 1:17:03 PM
Is there a way to filter the contacts being synched with a mobile device? For
example we may have 5000 contacts in BCM, but only 500 are qualified leads
that we want to synch to our PocketPC devices. Synching all 5000 slows down
look ups on the PocketPC and is a waste of memory. If we could define a
filter for the synch relationship, we could achieve this.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Hi
You can do that by making some changes to the Sync Settings on you Actice
Sync/Windows Mobile deivce center for Busines Contacts.
So if this is on Active Sync
1)Double Click on the Business Contacts in the list view.
2)Sync Settings Dialog should pop up. Select the radio button which says "
Synchronize the following Contacts"
Select the contacts you want to synchronize

if this is on Vista with Windows Mobile device center
1)On the Mobile Device Setting, select the Change Sync Settings option
2)In the List View under Business Contacts Click Sync Settings link
3)Sync Settings Dialog should pop up. Select the radio button which says "
Synchronize the following Contacts"
Select the contacts you want to synchronize

Thanks
