(I apologize if this question has appeared twice; I posted it yesterday but it's not showing up.)
I'm using OneNote to keep track of my notes and ideas throughout the day, and I file them under a section/page that corresponds to the particular project or issue that each note deals with. I really need a page that keeps a running (chronological) log of all the notes I enter, so that I can have a summary of what I've done each day.
I know that it is possible to tag each note, then do a search for all tagged notes, then choose "Summary Page," but that's a hassle. I'd like to be able to look at this page at any moment and have it be dynamically updated with all my notes from every section or page.
In effect, this would be the same as if I wrote each note on the master page and tagged it with a project/issue name, and then was able to filter which project's notes I'd like to see at any given point - does that make sense? The only way I know to filter tagged notes now is using the search function and generating a new summary page for those tagged notes, but this is something I'm going to need to do a LOT, and I don't want it to be tedious; it needs to update dynamically with me just choosing which set of notes I want to see.
Does anybody know how to do this sort of thing with OneNote, or can suggest alternative software to achieve this?
Thanks in advance!
