Ah, but for the simpler times. Any more, with everything going heavily
componentized, latest build != up to date version.

What? The RTM version (with the number below) is the latest version, and
there have been no Service Packs released.

Yes, that is true for this exact moment... I wasn't exactly referring
to OneNote by itself, but it does apply, just add a little time. Even
with that to consider, you have other pieces to the picture even with
the newly released version of ON (desktop search, printer driver, PDF
export, etc.). To determine the practical state of the installed
application at this moment (without service packs) you still have to
look at more than the build number to get a complete picture.

I'll say it again, ah but for the simpler times.
