1. Is there any way to automatically (or quickly) split a page into multiple movable segments?
I have hundreds of pages of notes formatted in the following manner:
- This is one paragraph about a specific topic. - This is one paragraph about a different topic. - This is several paragraphs... All relating to one topic... That could be described with one or more tags.
Every segment of text separated by a dash, I would like to behave as one movable segment in OneNote.
The only way I see to do this is to copy-and-paste each individual segment.
If I have to copy-and-paste so many individual sentences and paragraphs, it does not benefit me to move the text from Word to OneNote.
2. Is there any way to automatically (or quickly) arrange movable segments on a page?
I would like to be able to "select all" and right-click to "arrange in columns," one column being a standard manuscript format page.
It is way too frustrating and time-consuming to arrange so many movable sections in OneNote.
3. Is there any way to move a segment on top of other movable segments and have them automatically move out of the way, like how blocks of text reposition themselves in Word, WITHOUT combining the segments?
4. Is there any way to quickly split a movable segment in two?
I would like to be able to place the cursor at any point in a segment, right-click, and "split into two segments."
A keyboard shortcut to split segments at any point would also be nice.
Example:
-There's a lot of text here. And here. <-- I place my cursor here, and hit the keyboard shortcut. - Now the above text is in a separate movable section.
OneNote is a cute little program, but, without these features, I fail to see how it could be useful to me. It's just not a good solution for organizing large amounts of text.
