I've reinstalled Office 2007 Enterprise Edition on Windows Vista. This was
a completely clean install for both Vista (new computer) and
Office. I wanted to reinstall because word was a little slow for some
actions.. Now I really regret that.
Problem: EVERYTIME I start any Office 2007 application (word, excel, ppt,
etc..)
it loads a regular setup bar you should only get the first time you open ANY
office application: I get a screen that states "Please wait while windows
configures Office 2007 Enterprise"... a progress bar goes by then I get a
larger screen that says basically the same thing "Office 2007 configuration"
but takes a lot longer, about 4-5 minutes to complete the progress bar on
this window. I've tried running the office
apps as administrator and I have tried a re-install of Office and the problem
persists. I didn't find any help for this issue till now. Please help.
