I keep having problems with 2007 BCM. Have had a total of 8 hours of calls with MS support on 4 different occassions to no avail.
First problem occured when out of the blue, and Outlook said it had encounted an unexpected error, and must shut down -- subsequently each time I would open Outlook, it would shut down immediately.
My first 2 calls with MS, they created a new profile, and that would work for a day or 2, than the problem would come back.
The 3rd call, they had me uninstall BCM, and reinstall. Which worked for a day, but now, I am getting this error message when I click on the BCM folder, and when I try to use a timestamp in the details section of a Business Contact:
"Business Contact Manager could not complete your last action or actions. Please try again."
Mind you, these errors do not occur in Outlook Safe Mode.
I have uninstalled all addins, and my Nod32 AV, and that is not the issue. I have tried a new BCM DB, but the issue still occurs.
I have tried the following, to no avail:
run reg edit: Start->Run->regedit Go under the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" folder Then go under "Software" Then right click on the "Microsoft" folder and export it to some file as a backup. After making a backup we deleted the following two folder under the "Microsoft" category.
"BusinessSolutions eCRM" "Office"
This truely seems to be a software bug. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hi,
how could you log these errors?
Sorry, I can't help you either, but I get this error message too once in a while, when I want to open the folder "Business Contacts". First I thought it's because I'm developing an add-in at the moment (after re-installing the add-in or restarting the PC, everything worked fine), but I don't know what I could have done wrong to produce such an error message. When running Outlook 2007 from my Visual Studio I get sometimes an unhandled StackOverFlowException a BCM dll.
It'd be bad if this is a BCM issue..
best regards, bernhard

Hi There - in outlook:
Help>About BCM>Check the 'Enable Logging for BCM'
Once you do that, recreate the errors you are having.
You can find this log named something like this: BCMLog_V3
It will be in localsettings>temp
Look for the lines with <E> -- that is the error.
I'm 99% sure this is a bug with BCM, or one of the applications it uses (.NET/SQL).
I am waiting for a call today from an MS engineer, and will update my post with anything I find.
