Multiple Activation Issue
Toby Reeves 6/12/2007 6:19:02 PM
Our technician accidentally shipped an OEM Office Small Business 2007 to
Client A , which should have gone to a different client, Client B.

Client A's user, not knowing what they ordered, activated Office. Client A's
IT manager called and wondered why Office was shipped with the system. Client
A's IT manager uninstalled Office and shipped the plastic case which includes
the Product Key back to us.

Question: we have the plastic case and Product Key that we would like to
ship to the correct client, Client B. How can we initiate resetting that
Product Key to avoid licensing issues with microsoft?

Someone will have to call Microsoft on this one - and it will probably be
Client B. I assume you'd rather Client B not know about the snafu?

Well, I can call Microsoft, but finding a phone number is difficult, and we
are a partner. Does anyone have a procedure on this? Thanks.
