How do I read an attachment sent in an earlier version of MO?

when opening an attachment I rcv an error "you are attempting to open a file
that was created in an earlier version of Microsoft Office. This file type is
blocked from opening in this version by your registry policy setting." How
do I unblock this?

Try saving the attachment locally first. Then try opening it from
there.

If the problem still remains, and you are using Office 2003 SP3, you
