updating a BCM Contact from imported list

Once contacts are in BCM07, can other files be imported that will update not
duplicate these contacts?

e.g. Only names and addresses are in BCM. A .csv file contacts, a list of
spouses, birthday, etc. The new list will update those fields in the contact
record.

Thanks

Hi,
Currently we support, updating previous contacts only with .bcm file format.
But you can still update the contacts:
- Create a new database
- Import the csv file with detailed information
- Export it into bcm format
- Go back to your usual database with contact names and addresses
- Import the bcm file you exported using Update Duplicates

What update duplicates does is: It finds the duplicate contact in database
matching the contact in file using contact name. And if the contact in file
is newer than the database version, it updates the one in database. You can
find more about it in help files.

I am also assuming you have matching contact names (contact name in csv
file, and database should be same).
I hope this helps!
