Install of Disc 2, BCM & SBA 2007
Gloman 1/29/2007 1:03:00 AM
I have tried to download disc 2 of Office Pro 2007 several times. When
trying to install, the install quits and I get the following error.

Microsoft SQL Server 2005 9.00.2047.00

Product : Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition
Product Version : 9.1.2047.00
Install : Failed
Log File : c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup
Bootstrap\LOG\Files\SQLSetup0002_GARYLAPTOP2_SQL.log
Last Action : DetectInstallPaths
Error String : SQL Server Setup cannot install files to the compressed or
encrypted folder: c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\. To continue, make
sure that your installation directories are not compressed or encrypted, or
specify a different directory, and then run SQL Server Setup again.
Error Number : 28062 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I tried both downloading to my desktop and running direct. Each time it
will not install.

Can someone give me some ideas?

Hi Gloman

Using Explore right click the folder listed in the error message, the
default location is “<drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server”
● Choose Properties.
● Click the Advanced button
● Verify that Compress contents to save disk space is not checked
● Verify that Encrypt contents to secure data is not checked?
