Syncing Business Contacts to Phone
CarwashRon 11/22/2008 3:42:01 PM
I had to reset my Samsung i607. After the reset I can no longer sync my
Business Contacts to the phone. I was able to sync the Business Contacts
before the reset. An icon shows up on the settings but there is no box to
check. Any suggestions?

Did you have BCM mobile installed on the Samsung? If so, it needs to
be re-installed. If no, you probably had some third party sync
software that knew how to sync BCM folders. Most default sync software
only knows how to sync the default Outlook Contacts folder.

There is no 3rd party sync for BCM, and the one that is delivered by MS does
not work. I bout Chapura and they refunded my money as it would not even
sync.

The sync from MS will download the contacts but does not sync with the PC
(so the alternative below is just as good) ALSO you CANNOT search names by
typing an initial like you do with outlook contacts in the phone. SO I have
to scroll through 3000 contacts to gee to Mr. Walker in my contact list.

Copy all your BCM contact to OUTLOOK then this will work fine. (Since BCM
does not sync with the phone you really are not losing anything.
