Annoying Message
"Geeky42" <jim_luper[ at ]cox.net> 4/16/2007 4:41:33 PM
After installing Office 2003 on my new Vista Home Premium machine, I get
this annoying message upon opening any Office application:

Microsoft End User License Agreement - and one must accept EVERY time an app
is opened!

What needs to be changed to stop this annoying dialog?

TIA

You must accept the Office End User License Agreement every time
that you start an Office program

Peter - your comment below is a little misleading when you read the KB link
you provided. Yes, you must accept the EULA when you run Office...but only
for the first time after installation. The KB article goes on to explain what
to do if you are constantly asked to agree to it every time you open an
Office application. Being constantly asked is not normal. The KB link as well
as Gyorgy's reply provide the fix for Geeky42's problem.

I thank you all for your prompt replies. I tried the 'run as administrator'
suggestion, but found the pronlem did not go away. My solution was to get
that complete installation of Office 2003 OFF this new machine (sorry - I
just gave up.) I need to get used to using the software provided with it.
Also, my old main machine is still here chugging along happily with the same
Office 2003 Pro software.

I remember with sadness back when one could install MS Office on one machine
in a home net using the /A switch, accessing the apps from anywhere in the
local net. The changes in the 2003 version, i.e., removing this capability
from the pro version, forced me to change everything. We have a 4-machine
system (the wife prefers her MAC notebook, I use a cludgy Gateway laptop)
and the two desktops sit largely used only for serving and storage. Being
retired, We seldom use the memory-hungry CAD and DataBase software that used
to be the core of our buisness use.

I have backup capability thru a large USB drive.

Hi Tim,

What Peter posted was simply the title of the KB article that the link leads to.
