Automating reports
Gijs <beukenoot.DOT.gijs[ at ]at[ at ]gmail.DOT.com> 12/23/2008 1:56:48 PM
Hi all,

I am sure it is my lack of searching-capabilities but I am looking for
some code sampels that help me develop the folling scenario:

A user is not in the office but he urgently needs a certain report
He/she send an email message to a specific email-account with the
report name in the subject
When the message arrives, a program receives the email, runs the Access
report and send the resulting report (a .SNP or PDF file) back to the
requesting user.

Can somebody please point me in the right direction here ?

Many thanks

Gijs

Hi,
in general you can do this, the main issue here - to recognize proper email
and read subject and sender email. This is depends on your mail system, but
can be done with Outlook also, if you can leave outlook running all the
time. Look at www.outlookcode.com for sample code automating outlook
