Cant find customized field name Vanessa 2/9/2007 8:54:01 PM I attempted to create a field in bcm but I cannot find it on the form to utilize. What am I doing wrong?

Also, if you open the "Manage User-defined Fields" dialog from the Main Outlook window's "Business Contact Manager" menu, the default page for the fields is the "User-defined Fields" page. I cannot find a "Manage User Defined Fields" dialog from the Main Outlooks window's Business JContacts Manager Window. I go to View, Arrange, Current View, Customize Current View. Here I created the new field. The format of it shows up on my address card (Control Number (999-99-9999)), but when I look at the form indivdually I cannot locate it. BCM Update for Outlook 2003 does not support custom fields. Also, if I go to a particular contact and use the all fields and define a field, will I be able to map that field later in BCM 2007? I'm not sure if I am asking this question right. The company I am working for probably will not have BCM 2007 for at least another year along with Vista so I have to have patiience and and want to be able to transfer data as smoothly as possible. When you upgrade to Outlook and BCM 2007, create custom BCM fields for the data you'd like to migrate. Then export your existing contact data to .CSV format, including the fields you created in Outlook 2003. When you import that data into 2007, you'll have an option to map fields from the CSV to your Business Contacts.
