Adding the Title field in a Marketing Campaign mail merge
Lozzaw 10/31/2008 10:08:41 AM
Hi

Using BCM for Outlook 2007, I am running a Mail Merge marketing to a
filtered list of Business Contacts. I cannot find any way of adding the Title
field to the address or greeting line.

I have specified all the information required for the Marekting Campaign. I
then click Launch which starts the Word document and displays the Mail Merge
task pane and Mailings tab on the Ribbon. I then insert the Address Block
fields and choose the format 'Mr Joshua Randall Jr.' but it dispalys my
contact in the format Randall, Joshua. If I try using the Insert Merge Fields
button on the Ribbon instead, Title does not display on the menu of fields.

I have tried using the Match Fields option but the Title field is not listed
as a field to match. I have also checked that the name fields are stored in
the correct BCM fields.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Lozzaw

A work around might be as follows:
Using the Match Fields option, match First Name to Full Name, Last Name to
"not matched", and Suffix to "not matched".

Hope this helps....

Thanks for your idea. So I've tried that and strangely, it does not showing
anything. It's as if it does not see any value contained in Full Name.

The more I look at this the stranger it appears. I've also just noticed you
cannot insert BCM custom fields into your Mail Merge!

Anybody got any other ideas?
