Couple of questions: Does the file open successfully in OneNote 2003? Did you have any OneNote beta installed? Either 2003 beta or 2007 beta? Note that if you created the file with OneNote 2007 Beta2 (or Beta1) you will not be able to open it with the RTM version directly - you'll need to first upgrade it to 2007 Beta2TR format and then to RTM. I am embroiled in this mess too. You can not convert your files back to 2003 format.
