One Note and Business Contact Manager link
KP 11/12/2008 11:32:03 PM
Does anyone know if you can link from a contact in Business Contact Manager
to a page in One Note?

I found the function in the regular contacts, where you can click a One Note
icon in the contact form and hyperlink to the designated page in One Note.
However, this icon link does not appear in a Business Contact form.

Again, I know you can link from a ON page TO either type of contact but the
problem is going from the contact back to the ON page. Works great in a
regular contact but not in Business Contact Mangager.

Thanks in Advance.

No, there are no automatic links with BCM.
But one can create a Hyperlink in ON and insert that in target. This way
is a way back to ON.

Thanks Rainald.
BTW, where can you place that hyperlink? Just the "comments" section? I've
tried by placing in the mailing address and even creating a custom field but
I can't seem to get a hyperlink to work anywhere but the " comments" section.

I would like it somewhere in the first page of the contact so it is apparent
there is a link.
Any suggestions?

You could put it in the web site field.

I'm sorry, KP, I do not have BCM installed on my machine so I can not be
of further help.
AFAICS the comments" will have to be used.
