Hi, i have the following problem with Office 2003 with SP2 and Vista
Ultimate
The first time i installed office 2003 all went ok, but word sometimes was
prone to crash. So i tried to uninstall and reinstall it. From that moment,
each time i launch Word, excel or access, before the program starts appears
a dialog telling me "Configuration of Office 2003..." "Collecting
information...". Seems it performs a little setup phase for about 20 seconds
just before the program starts.
How can i solve this problem? It's quite annoying and i can't find solutions
on the web. All the Microsoft Programs runs as administrator and runs in XP
SP2 compatily mode...
Hope there is a solution for this issue, anyway the only solution would be a
format i did 2 weeks ago :(
Another usefull (i hope) information. When i launch one of those programs i
get msiexec.exe using a lot of my cpu.
It is this process that performs the little installation process before
access or word starts.
Maybe is corrupted the Windows Installer? Is there a way to reinstall or
repair the windows installer?
