Remove 'Welcome to the 2007 MS Office System' Dialog "Scott Townsend" <scooter133[ at ]community.nospam> 4/17/2007 8:24:43 PM I've installed Office Standard 2007 on a Win2003 Terminal Server. After you launch Outlook for the fist time it comes up with the Welcome to Office Dialog with the Get Online Help, Kep your SYstem Running and Make Office Better Options. I do not want my users to see that. How can I get Rid of it? Thanks

Is that correct? Based on my experience and research, to do this you need to modify the registry key. Please refer to the following steps: 1. Click Start, type Regedit, in the Start Search box, and then click regedit in the Programs list. 2. Expand the following subkey: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Common\General 3. Right-click General, point to New, and then click Dword (32-bit) Value. 4. Type ShownOptIn, and then press ENTER to name the new entry. 5. Right-click ShownOptIn and then click Modify. 6. In the Value data box, type 00000001, and then click OK. 7. Close Registry Editor. If this does not work, then you may need to do some additional steps as below: 8. In regedit, expand to the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\Currentversion\Terminal Server\Install\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Common\General 9. Repeat step 3 to step 7.
