Office Patch Error Meltivore 4/16/2007 1:34:02 AM Hi, I'm running Vista Ultimate with Office 2007. Recently I got this message, "The detection failed, this can be due to a corrupted installation database" when installing an Office Update, as well as a second Outlook specific update. Both give the same error and I can't find anything online on how to fix the corruption. Thanks! Tom

If that doesn't help: Go into Control Panel, Uninstall a Program and hit change for Office 2007, then repair.
