How do I change the Database Owner in BCM V3?
AZ Steve 6/27/2007 3:52:01 AM
I installed a new server (new domain name) and reconnected a PC to the new
Domain. I was able to get the BCM database backup copy reconnected to
outlook by starting outlook as admin and adding my new domain\user to the
database. Now i cant backup the database without being an admin. How can i
change the database owner from my old domain\user to the my new domain\user?

Hi Steve,

you can change database ownership through Transact-SQL, further information
about how to do this can be found here:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms190909.aspx

If this gets too technical and difficult, I would advise you to export
everything into a BCM file (using the export wizard in BCM), then create a
new BCM database from you new domain user, and finally importing the data
back in.
