Pocket PC 2003SE
bbarker 6/12/2007 8:47:00 PM
I have a Dell Axim X50v, which is a Pocket PC running Windows Mobile 2003SE.
I have Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager. I want to sync Business
Contact Manager with my Pocket PC. When I try to install the add-in for
Pocket PCs, I get this message:

"Business Contact does not support the connected device type. Application
Manager will make the application available for installation when a
supported device type is connected."

How can I get this to work?

You won't be able to get this to work on your mobile device because I believe
that the most current version 3 BCM for WM add-in only supports the latest WM
5 & WM 6 device versions.

An alternative for you to do would be the Pocket Mirror Professional for WM
at www.chapura.com.

Best regards,

Hi
You can still install Business Contact Manager for Pocket PC 2003 and it
would sync with Business Contact Manager 2007 on the desktop
Thanks

I didn't realize that the previous BCM release for Pocket PC 2003 was still
available or supported.

Best wishes,

Hi,
Do you know if it (BCM for Pocket PC 2003) should work on Windows Vista with
Office 2007 (Vista doesn't support active sync, but windows mobile device
center)?

Regards,
Arne

I also have an Axim X50V with Outlook 2007 & BCM 2007. The previous
information you received is correct with 1 exception. There is a bug and
when you sync from the PC to PPC everything is okay. When you sync from the
PPC to the PC the comment does not sync to the PC.

If anyone else is running this configuration and not having the problem, I
would appreciate them replying.
