A friend and I have been using http://enroll.freesharepoint.com/uddi/freesharepoint/ for free for several months and it's great. Downside? a 5MB limit for the free services. This will fill pretty quickly if you do anything other than text. They scale up as well starting with $20/month plans. (Disclaimer: I don't work for them or anything.) An alternative, if what you really want is to always have your notebooks available to you is to use a USB thumb drive. Just a thought. They have a free plan, $19/month, and $39/month (this has all the shared workspaces). There's a lot more you get than just shared hosting...
