How do you compress .one files?

I notice thatmy webclippings.one file is 27Mb, but I have NOTHING in that
section anymore. How does one compact/compress .one file?

Try Tools--> Options, Save tab - Optimize All Files Now button.

Thanks so much. This is really buried. One would have thought it would be
part of the notebook are. Kind of like how you can compress storage in
Outlook Express or Outlook through somehting in the properties.

It optimizes periodically on its own - this is just the option for manually
invoking the process.

That seems to be by design - ON takes care of this task periodically for
you. 27MB is tiny these days compared to the average HD size, and ON can
handle files of that size. There's nothing for the user to manage, so the
feature is placed out of sight ;)

That would depend on what was deleted and what is still left in the file.
It's not really compression it's more like compaction and whitespace
removal.
