I agree with the suggestion about Outline formatting (within some parameters) but the rule line issue would be a rather substantial change in how the rule lines are handled, I think. Right now they are nothing more than ink guides to help better write on the page. You're asking that they be made a somewhat active part of the page content.
I do agree with folks who want the option to have them print; but I don't think I want the lines to change based upon content -- otherwise they lose their utility for those of us using them for ink.
