I'd like to be able to scan several pages of a book and have each page automatically create a new page in ON. I'd like to do that without ever leaving the scanning UI (user interface) rather than going back to click the ON button each time.
Other ways to make scanning easy: ======================================================= I was able to add the scanning button to the draw menu (see below) which makes the process a little faster. Re: ON 2007.
How to add the scanner button to the drawing toolbar (this assumes you have your scanner installed):
First display the drawing toolbar by clicking "view" menu and selecting "drawing toolbar" or select "toolbars" and select "drawing tools" (it's the same toolbar).
Again, under the "view" menu go to "drawing tools" and this time select customize.
The Customize dialog box has 3 tabs, Toolbars, Commands and Options. Select the Commands tab.
Under the "Categories" list, select "All Commands".
Now under the Commands list (just to the right of the Categories list, find the icon for "From Scanner or Camera..." and drag that icon to your drawing toolbar.
Close the customize dialog box.
Click on the scanner button (the one you just added). If there's nothing in the "Device" drop down, it could mean you haven't installed your scanner.
