Default user template location
Mfranco403 12/19/2008 10:57:00 AM
I am trying to change the default user template directory in office 2007 but
cannot find out where to do this. I have tried framing the question a million
ways in 'help' but cannot make it give me the answer. Can anyone help please.

I believe you have to do this for each program -

Word -
1. Open Word
2. Go to the Round Office Button
3. Go to Word Options
4. Go to ADVANCED
5. Go to almost the bottom and there's a button named FILE LOCATIONS

Excel -
1. Open Excel
2. Go to the Round Office Button
3. Go to Excel Options
4. Go to POPULAR
The file locations can be edited.

Sorry, for EXCEL that should be under SAVE and not POPULAR (my bad)

PowerPoint is also just like Excel.

Hi Mr Larson

Thanks alot that answered my query for WORD 2007. However I still cannot
find anything in EXCEL or PP under SAVE except for the SAVE and AUTO RECOVER
folders. But I also believe (assuming it is like some older versions) that
setting the WORKGROUP template location in WORD sets it for all of OFFICE.
Once again thanks alot - Oh and merry Xmas.
