Office 2003 Product ID - Correct amount of numbers in it?
LeahE 11/5/2008 7:35:06 PM
I have installed Office 2003 once on my desktop and my daughter now wants to
install it on her laptop for school. I gave her the product ID that I have
under "Help." She just sent me a text msg frantic saying one number was
missing. Before I double check, I want to make sure - is there a certain
amount of numbers/letters in the product key and perhaps she just didn't
write it down correctly. I know this is a ridiculous question (you may roll
your eyes) but I would appreciate a quick helpful answer. :-)

Thanks for your patience.

The product ID is not under Help, its the code on the orange label on the cd
case

Um, can't your count YOUR installation ID (orange sticker) to find out?
That is different from your Product ID found under Help..

However, I have to ask, is this a Students and Teachers edition or a Home
and Student edition?

Otherwise, you may be violating the license for other suites that allow an
installation on 2 devices used by the SAME person.

UM, I bought my copy while attending UW. I talked to the school today and
they looked up the Product Key for me from when I bought it. I did not have
the disks in the same covers I bought them in and therefore no longer HAD the
orange sticker. My bad. I was not violating anything.
