I have a multipage document in excel 2007 and it has borders around each
cell but one of the pages got changed by accident and the borders are in red
not black and for the life of me I cant seem to change the borders to black.
Can someone help?

I have Excel 2000, but I presume it is much the same (I guess someone will
tell us pretty quickly if I'm wrong):

Select the cells with the incorrect borders, choose Format > Cells > Border
and select the colour (presumably Automatic) BEFORE you select all the
border lines that you want to change from red to black.

No, office 2007 is quite different and when I go to format, cells, it
displays borders in red also even though the setting is automatic and it
wont change to black.

Hi Jim,

Is this a 'print' page on a single worksheet or are you referring to separate worksheets (tabs) as being pages in this case?

Was this workbook created new in Excel 2007 or a document created in an earlier version of Excel

[You may want to use the link below to also post this to the MS Office Excel discussion group.

Highlite the stubborn cells, right-click and choose "Format Cells". Choose
the "Border" tab. Choose "Automatic" for color (or any other color you
desire). Here's the tricky part that drove me nuts for a few minutes...after
you have chosen the color, make sure to click the borders that you want in
the border graphic to the right of the color drop-down menu (or you can click
on the "Outline" and/or "Inside" boxes above it). The borders in that small
graphic will change to the color you chose in the drop-down. Then click OK. I
found that without that last step, it reverts back to the originial color.
Seems kind of silly to me, but that's how it works.
