I have two computers a 2000 and a XP, with Word 2003 on both. When using the 2000 computer, I can select from a list of printers, in a list (detail). When using the XP computer, the list is in Icon format (takes a lot of space to scroll). Is there a way to change this view to detail view? I've tried going to Printers in Control Panel and changing the view, but it does not carry over to Word as a default view. Is this jus a XP thang?

Among the ways to do this:
Navigate to My Computer. On the right side of the toolbar there will be an icon that looks like a small windows with icons. There is a down-turned arrowhead. Left mouse-click on it. select Details. Now, Select Tools from the upper ribbon followed by Folder Options View. Click on Apply to All Folders. OK out.
