I just bought a digital tablet. I want to hand-write on a Word document and
save my writing. I don't need it to convert my handwriting to text, I want
to save my handwriting the way it is (like signing a document). How do I do
this?

The short story for inking in Word 2003 is
(1) show the Ink Annotations Toolbar: View Menu ... Toolbars ...
click Ink Annotations.
(2) To Annotate in INK : click the Ballpoint (Black) icon. To stop
annotating click the "Stop Inking" button.
