Footnote Question "WSR" <wsr-203[ at ]hotmail.com> 10/15/2008 2:58:32 PM Word 2007 XP SP 3 I have inserted a footnote reference that has 5 paragraph (carriage returns for those who remember typewriters) that precede it. Double click a footnote reference number in the text, that will bring you at the bottom of the screen in the footnote window. At the top click the arrow next to footnotes, choose separator, do you see the carriage returns there, if so, delete them.
