Error when relinking
Don Barton <DonaldB627[ at ]gmail.com> 6/22/2007 3:26:46 PM
MS Access 2003 FE/BE configuration.
I get the following message when trying to relink new FE to existing
BE at my client's site, but not on my development computer:

"The expression On Click you entered as the event property setting
produced the following error: Object or Class does not support the set
of events"

Is this a possible reference issue?

Thanks

Don

Hi,
yes, looks like some reference is missing, check that you have all libraries
installed on client PC which are listed in references

And, just for the record, what he stated is in error -- linked tables are
not deprecated. As a matter of fact, the Access developers and support
personnel at Microsoft now endorse it as the method of choice for connecting
to server databases (even Microsoft SQL Server).

And, of course, if the user organization has selected some other server
database as their corporate standard, the ADP which he so strongly endorses
just simply will not work -- it is limited to Microsoft SQL Server.

Thanks Larry, and Tony. His opening line tipped me off. At least I
wasn't verbally abused.
