Can database work in multiuser

I will place the database in a local drive where everyone can access the same
database..
However, can they work when someone is using the database?

Yes, if you set it up properly. By that I mean split the database, you work
on a development copy for the front end (FE) and supply each user with their
own copy of the FE file.
