Lon, Thanks for the help. I'm not sure why this worked but it did. Let me give you some background in case it helps you understand what happened. I Installed a new downloaded copy of Office Pro 07 w/BCM. I never did any changes to the fields, or anything else for that matter. When I followed your instructions there were no user defined fields (as I expected since I had not changed anything from the new installation at that point). I exited out of that window & it asked if I wanted to save any changes. I did, even though I had not made any and the user defined fields was blank. Then I went back to the create project tasks window & tried it again. It now works fine, go figure. BTW, when is the 07 BCM for Dummies book out. Looks like I may need it to get this thing working.
