Outlook to Onenote error
Paul 2/28/2007 9:23:28 PM
I've installed the Microsoft to Onenote power toy correctly but no button or
menu is visible in Outlook 2003. In Outlook's Advanced Options/Coms Addins I
can see the power toy but it's unticked with an error stating that a runtime
error occured whilst loading the addin.

Since the error report is hardly explicit or helpful it's a bit of a long
shot, but I was wondering if anybody could help (I can't find anything on the
Microsoft site).

It probably isn't relavent but I have Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
2003 installed as an Office 2003 Standard installation with Publisher 2003
and Onenote 2003 installed as separate standand alone products.

Hi Paul,

Soory for the delay in replying. This addin requires Outlook 2007.

Thanks John, I didn't realise this. I downloaded it from the Microsoft Office
site under add-ons for Onenote 2003 (it was definately in the 2003 catagory).

Onenote 2003 is turning out to be not quite as polished as I'd hoped. Oh
well. Do you think that MS will release another Service Pack for it or is it
old news now that 2007 is out?

Thanks again for getting back to me.

I'd bet on the "old news" scenario. Go ahead and upgrade to the 2007
version, you won't be sorry.
