Help Installing BCM 2007
JPtrump 5/18/2007 7:36:01 AM
I was able to install nearly the entire Office 2007 Professional Suite on my
Vista pc, but my system will not install BCM. SQL Express installed
properly.

I have searched through the forums, but I haven't found a solution. I have
checked the error log and it states that I have a 1935 error code.

When I checked that on the Knowledge Base it says that I need to repair
..Net, which I did; install 2.0, which is installed; or reinstall 1.1.
Nothing seems to be working.

Any suggestion?

By the way, an abbreviated version of the log is below:

Try removing .NET 2 and then installing BCM, which will reinstall .NET
2. There were some problems in the past with hotfixes that needed to
be applied to .NET 2 and I believe that was the solution.

I uninstalled the compact framework, which is the only .Net item listed in
add/remove programs. When I try to install the .Net framework from the BCM
disc (it didn't attempt an install automatically), I get the error message
that .Net is part of the operating system.

I missed that you were doing this on Vista. There .NET is a part of
the OS.

In this log message:
MSI (s) (D8:9C) [23:55:01:448]: Assembly Error:The referenced assembly
is
not installed on your system.

Can you tell from the surrounding messages, what assembly it is
referring to?

From reading the log file, the only assembly I see referenced is
Microsoft.VC80.DebugMFC. Is there something else I should look for in the
log file (a word or phrase perhaps)?
