Need professional advice on installing Office 2007
tucker 4/4/2007 1:16:03 AM
I recently purchased a Toshiba laptop that had trials of Office 2007 student
teacher and a few other office 2007 programs. I have purchased the
Professional Suite. I am assuming I have to remove the existion 2007
products before installing Professional 2007. Is this correct?

If so, I have read in the discussions lots of problems. I am guessing many
problems occur becasue people did not do things right in the beginning so
what is the best resource for how to remove 2007 programs/

Thanks - Tucker

The only problems I have seen with uninstalling Office 2007 are with the beta. Just using Add/Remove programs to uninstall the trial should work just fine. You may want to remove all of the Office trial editions if there is more than one.

Here's an excellent KB article to remove beta versions of Office 2007
Manually, when you have some left overs of beta versions.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218
Just follow the steps & you can install regular ver after completely
removing traces of beta version.

thanks
