Maybe it has something to do with the DVD being read-only??? If I didn't work with SW developers all day I'd wonder what the hell was up with that, but after some of the things I've seen nothing surprises me. Cheers, Marc

I have had the same type (but not quite) problem happen. I read somewhere that you could copy the dvd to the hard drive and run the install from the hard drive and this method did work. RE: Install error Marc Ramsay 3/28/2007 1:47:03 AM I'm having the same problem trying to install Office 2007 from my Microsoft Action Pack subscription on to a new installation of Windows XP SP2. This is a fresh install with no previous versions of Office installed. Any help from the Microsoft Office guys who wrote this installer?
