How to make an e-mailed powerpoint slideshow start automatically
VU2YJ 12/30/2008 3:08:07 PM
I would like an e-mailed PowerPoint file to open automatically in full screen
presentation mode when its name is clicked upon. I tried to save a .ppt
file in .pps format by renaming it. It was not allowed by some entry in the
registry. Can any one tell me which entry of the registry is to be edited,
and in what manner to enable a .ppt file to be saved in the .pps format/

First, what version of PPT are you using. PPT 2003 and earlier allowed
you to simply rename the file. In PPT 2007, you have to open the file in
PowerPoint and choose Save As from the Office button and then change the
Save As type to PowerPoint Show. You might try this regardless of what
version you are using before you start mucking with the registry.
