Question about outline numbering
"Jorge Cervantes" <machocraig[ at ]hotmail.com> 12/7/2008 4:28:52 PM
I have been writing journal/diary everyday with 2003Word by the following
outline patterns:

*********************************
(this is a simplified sample)

12/1/08 (Mon)
1. Sales Meeting
a) printers
(i) HP: aaaaaaaaaa
(ii) Dell: aaaaaaaaaa
(iii) Others:aaaaaaaaaa
b) computers
(i) HP: bbbbbbbbbb
(ii) Dell:bbbbbbbbbb
(iii) Others: bbbbbbbbbb
c) Other peripherals
(i) HP:
(ii) Dell:
(iii) Others
2. Customer service
3. Invoicing

*********************************

When I contuse the journal entries following day, I am unable to start a new
outlining as above.
The outlining numbering continues from the previous journal as follows:

*********************************
12/2/08 (Tue)
4. Sales Meeting
d) printers
(x) HP: aaaaaaaaaa
(xi) Dell: aaaaaaaaaa
(xii) Others: aaaaaaaaaa
e) computers
(xiii) HP:
(xiv) Dell:
(xv) Others
f) Other peripherals
(xvi) HP:
(xvii) Dell:
(xviii) Others
5. Customer service issues
6. Invoicing Matters

*********************************

The continuous outline numbering from the previous day has been bothering
me.
My question is how to keep the same outlining numbering freshly everyday as
shown under 12/1/08.
In another words, how to stop outline numbering continuously from the
previous journal and start a new next day.
Please advise me. TIA. Jorge

You need a restart method. This could include linking the style used for the
date to Level 1 (unnumbered) and setting the 1, 2, 3 style (at Level 2) to
restart after Level 1. See

Thank you.
BTW, I have posted a related question under a new thread.
