Click the little dialog launcher arrow in the bottom right corner of the Styles group on the ribbon, or press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S, to open the Styles pane. Click the third button from the left at the bottom of the pane to open the Manage Styles dialog, and click the Recommend tab of the dialog.
Set the sort order to "As Recommended". In the list of styles, notice that each one has a number to its left, or the word "last". The values of those numbers control the order in which the styles appear in the gallery. You can change the numbers of selected styles by clicking the Move Up, Move Down, and Assign Value buttons.
