Word 2003 Open files?
removing all headers and footers 11/14/2008 8:20:05 PM
In word 2003, suddenly the open files dialog box has shrunk to one quarter
screen size, and it used to be full screen size. How do I get it back?
Rebooting and going in and out of Word does not help. Where is the setting
for this box?

And is there a way to get the list files dialog to come up every time with
the newest files always at the top and with "details" as the template mode?

thanks, Joe

The Open dialog is resizable (drag on the bottom right corner). To
maximize/restore it, however, double-click the title bar.

To resize the dialog, drag its edges like any other window. Or, to make it
maximized, double-click anywhere in its title bar.

To answer your other question, right-click in a blank area of the file list and
choose View > Details. Then click the column header that says "Date modified".
If that puts it in oldest-first order, click the header again to reverse the
list. It should stay that way until you change it to something else.
