"[filename] is locked for editing by 'another user'."

We have users sharing/accessing Word Documents on a Shared Ntwk Drive. When
they open a document, they are receiving the following message: "[filename]
is locked for editing by 'another user'."

Why is the message not identifying who is using the file as it should and
just referring them as 'another user'.

Try this: Make sure each user fills in the User Information (specifically,
the Name field), found in the Options dialog box, User Information tab (for
Word 2003).

This unfortunately was not the answer as all of my users had their names in
the appropriate name fields in Word Options. Any other ideas?
