Murf,

I'm assuming you mean "BCM" not "BCS", and that by "repair" you mean "check
for errors"? What version of BCM are you using?

Please try one or more of the following:
1. Enable logging in Help, About and repeat the operation. Then look at the
log file in %temp%. Don't forget to turn off logging when you're done.
2. Contact support at
http://support.microsoft.com/common/international.aspx?rdpath=1&gprid=11335
3. Export your data to a .bcm file, create a new database, then re-import.
The try again to create a backup.

Hope this helps,
Chris

Chris, thanks for the quick response.

To start, I found that there were 3 instances of BCM databases on my
computer. I deleted the two not being used.

Second, There are several folders in my SQL database folder:
MSSQL$MICROSOFTBCM
MSSQL$MICROSOFTMLBIZ
MSSQL$NR2005
MSSQL.1

Is this correct? From something I read in a help screen somewhere there
seems to be more than needed. I am using NeatReceipts which also uses SQL
server and possibly another program but I am not 100% sure about that.

I followed your instructions and created a new database and the result
appears to be as desired. I was able to import and check the file properly. I
closed the program and reopened and everything appears to be as it should be.
Time will actually be the determiner of that I suspect.

Thanks again for your kind assistance with this issue. Now if you can please
tell me a quick way to get rid of al the ice outside. Jim
