Backup Business Contact Manager

what would be considered the best practice for backing up biz contact mgr. I
have not had much luck restoring with the original file. Often times the
program will not recognize the database. I have tried with most success by
exporting the data to a bcm file and then restoring. This is very time
consuming. I have not yet tried to restore from a backup inside the database
manager. Is this a credible process that can be depended on?

If I had a choice to select the the type of backup , I would prefer
exporting the data out as *.bcm file . I have had fewer users report issue
when exporting data to this format
