Viewing 2 different docs. at once
"billybob" <wmwh1217[ at ]isp.com> 6/11/2007 10:46:11 PM
I'm running Word 2002

I would like to view 2 different Word docs at the same time (like a split
screen). How is this done please?

Open both documents and Go to Window and check Compare side x side.
You can synchronise the scrolling of both documents with the toolbar that
pops on screen.

Hope this helps.

I'm running Windows XP Home and Word 2002. Where do I find the "View side
by side" option?

I think it may have been introduced in Word 2003, but if you have it, it's
on the Window menu. If you don't find it, you'll have to open two document
in separate Normal (Restored) windows and tile them side by side.
