Opening View is set too small
Quidam 5/25/2007 3:14:00 PM
This is only one of many issues I am having with Word 2003 SP2...when I open
word the default view is 45% so I have to change to 100% before I start
typing. Also (2nd problem) I have grey tick marks which were addressed in a
different post and the recommend repair does not work
(http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=839371).

For the first problem, see
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/SaveViewAndZoom.htm.

For the second problem, see

Thanks, first problem solved, opens at 100%...second problem, I have tons of
numbers and I am a little timid so I'm not going to start by trying to guess
what they all are. I need to find a guide with the definition of what they
are, so I can eliminate what I don't need. THe note you provided and web
links were very helpful. :)

Here's an article that lists many of the languages and their numbers:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/921617

Use the decimal numbers (the first part, before the left parenthesis,
in each line).
