I bought a MLK office 2007 basic parkage ( empty case), download a trail
edtion from microsoft ,( standard and professional). try to convert trail to
my OEM key, does not work!
Help!

Hi Kevin,

The product keys are version specific. Office 2007 Basic edition (an OEM product) uses a different key from MS Office Standard and
Professional Retail edition. OEM editions are intended to be preinstalled on new PCs and are license-locked to the machine they're
first activated on. Office retail products are license-transferable ones that can be moved later to another machine.

The trial editions available at http://trymicrosoftoffice.com are retail products.
